Maintenance Technician

Centre Concrete (State College/Lock Haven areas) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for preventative maintenance and repair of its facilities. Good opportunities with a solid company built on service. The employee is required to operate in a safe and efficient manner, at elevated heights and tight spaces. Employee should be able to work in teams or individually pending work required of employee. The Maintenance Technician position will be integral in aiding the maintenance team and to ensure facilities are operating efficiently and effectively. Must be capable of working in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, using various materials and sizes that would be associated with concrete manufacturing facilities, such as weigh hoppers, bins, conveyors, pumps, motors, and large heavy equipment. Must understand the need for consistent maintenance and preventative maintenance on all equipment and the required documentation of said work. Job Description

• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned and ability to schedule normal routine maintenance by themselves.
• Monitor and maintain multiple concrete facilities and associated equipment.
• Experience with welding, fabricating, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic systems as well as general repairs and carpentry.
• Own a reasonable amount of tools.
• Assist others in maintenance department with specific projects
• Compliance with all company, federal, state and local safety guidelines
• Lift and carry between 50-100 lbs.
• Operate various pieces of heavy equipment.
• Have or obtain a DOT medical card; CDL a plus, but not necessary.
• Willingness to travel through PA; may include some overnight stays, but very rarely.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary: Negotiable pending experience ($22- $32 per hour)
